We are sailing on the Imagination with stops in Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios. Has anyone done this cruise? What are some of the best excursions to do? Is it best to book the excursions online or wait till you get on the ship? We are staying in an Outside cabin on the Riveria Deck. Do you think we should upgrade to a higher deck or does it really matter? Since this is my first cruise I was afraid of the motion of the ship, that's why I chose the lowest deck.
Any tips on anything you think would be interesting would be a great help.
In Grand Cayman, we did a swim with the stingrays excursion and LOVED it. My son and I both voted it something you should do before you die. We booked thru the ship and were very happy, but plenty of folks book with an independent provider.
I personally don't think the decks make an enormous amount of difference, but then again I have sworn off elevators when I sail. If you like taking the elevators, or even if you only want to walk a little, then the higher up, the closer to the action on a ship.

I will be on this cruise on April 28th. We do not plan on booking excursions through Carnival. We will be booking directly with Captain Marvin's in Grand Cayman for the Stingray City tour and probably Peat Taylor for our Ocho Rios tour. Alot cheaper compared to Carnival and very good reviews from what I've read.
For me, it doesn't make sense to pay extra for a higher deck. I am booked on Main deck (2nd from bottom) and have stayed in Riviera and Main before. Makes no difference to me.
