Shopping on board always has all of the essentials plus. I am always a sucker for "logo" merchandise. Coffee cups, beer steins, and T-shirts with the name of the ship and cruise itinerary are a must. As for the other stuff - I leave the "inch of gold" and assorted other bling for my one & only BW.

Another spot on board the ships that people tend to not think of as a shopping spot are the art auctions. Went on my first cruise two years ago with friends and decided to check out the free champagne offered at the art auction. Not being art entusiasts ourselves we truly went for the free champagne. I am now the proud owner of two beautifully framed pieces of art for my home that they ship directly for you, that are not only wonderful additions to my home but great reminders of the fun I had with my friends on our trip. The best part is they have raffles and games that are fun and have become one of the fun parts of our cruises. I couldn't think of a nicer gift for a new wife or husband, or a nicer reminder of your trip.
I am a veteran shopper and I am always disappointed by the stores on the ships...I think because I was picturing a mall or something on the ship////...like I pictured a Bath and Body Works type place, etc. Now I know better...but the first time I cruised I was very disappointed.
