We have booked a Stringray excursion in Nassau for the morning, and are planning on going to the Pirates of Nassau museum, the straw market etc. that afternoon. There doesn't seem to be very much to do in Freeport. Is the straw market there good? If it is, we will let our teenagers spend all their "shopping money" there, and that will allow us time to do more sightseeing in Nassau.
We are only in Freeport from noon until 7 that evening. Any suggestions of things we can see or do while there? Thanks
I have flown in 2x to Freeport and stayed 5 days both times... there are 2 straw markets, the strawmarket next to the casino is nice because if you like to shop there are tons of stores and Subway sandwiches and McDonalds are close by also
I'm on the Liberty next week and we're doing Carnival's Junkanoo Beach excursion. It's not cheap but includes lunch, transportation, and maximum beach time since it's run by the cruise line. I was looking for a review of this excursion and couldn't find one. I'll post one here in a couple of weeks.
Go directly to Port Lucaya. Plenty of taxi's to take you there. Nice beach, nice water. We were hoping to stay there at a dance competiton, but it got moved to Nassau.

my 14 year old son and I are booked on the morning glass bottom boat ride, and perhaps in the afternoon we'll stay on the boat, after all we'll be off the boat all day in Nassau. Or we may take up add on an afternoon excursion to port lacaya.
