Default 90's Carnival vs Todays Carnival

During the late 80's-early 90's, I typically went on 1 or 2 Carnival cruises a year. In 1997 I went in the Destiny for my honeymoon and sadly have not cruised since. Life got in the way. New jobs, new houses, KIDS...My parents and sister up and moved to Hawaii. While it is a great place to visit, it uses up all the vacation $$ and time off! This year for our 10th Anniversary, we have managed to wrangle a babysitter for the girls (1 and 4) and we are off to cruise on Miracle out of NY!!! I can not wait! I think I will appreciate it all that much more now!

Any way, enough blah, blah , blah.... My question....can anyone tell me how cruising has changed. What is better/worst?

OMG. You will have a whale of a time! It has gotten so much better. Read up on the ship and the iteneraries and enjoy!

Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Courage and perserverance have a magical talisman; before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish into the air.

Pick your company wisely! Hang around people who are going to help you become all God created you to be.

Our first Carnival experience was also our first cruise. It was a 4 day on the Fantasy in 96. We went again this last Feb. on the Glory for a 7 day. The difference is amazing. The food, service and general accomidations seemed at another level. The crew, and activities were excellent. I would say you will see, and enjoy the difference.

Default 90's Carnival vs Todays Carnival

I am counting the days! I can't wait to be the one being waited on instead of the other way around!!

I have been to St. Thomas and San Juan on previous cruises. Tortola will be new. Any suggestions? I have heard The Baths are the place to go.
