What cruise site can I go on to get online pricing. I know it may not be all accurate, but would give me the general idea. I usually go to cruisesonly but by the time you plug in the info...it says to phone a rep. I like to see different rates online before. Any suggestions??
We use Cruise.com and Travelocity to compare prices, then see what the specific cruiseline is offering. Our friends like Costco but they don't give on line prices. When we find a price we like and can live with we call our TA and see what she can do. If she can't beat it she will match it.

Carnival.com has prices for Carnival Cruises. The pricing is always the same as Expedia or Travelocity or other travel sites.

Hi Cheryl, This is Lynn, go to vacations to go. I got a better price there and when I called my Carnival PVP she could not even match the deal I got with them. I love my PVP and will use her again but with that deal I had to go with the best!!! Peace, Lynn
CruiseCompete. com is how we booked our next cruise on the Liberty--got a balcony room for less than the cost of a window room! You open a free account, type in the cruise line/dates/location you're interested in, and then travel agents around the country send you their best "bids." If any of them interest you, you then initiate contacting them.
I usually use Travelocity to check prices because of the way they make it easy to change dates and see if leaving a week later is cheaper without starting the search from the beginning. Then I booked on Carnival.com at the same price to make sure I can do the online FunPass. Haven't tried the other sites but before I bought through them I would make sure they didn't have any hidden fees or cancellation penalties that going through Carnival doesn't. There are so many people in their basement pretending to be a big company that it makes me nervous not go with a well-known brand.

Don't forget... surfing the travel agency web sites no longer gives you the best price available because of cruise line pricing policies. To get the real bottom line now requires an e mail or phone call. I know it's silly, but it's true.
You might want to request a quote from Nancy S. Bogert. She is the TA who does the group cruise booking for cruisemates. I just contacted her and I am SOOOO thankful I did, she is great! If you go to www.planningcruises.com you can submit a request for a quote right there. Good luck, Carla
