Hello all, first time poster long time lurker, got a quick question,
I am going on my first cruise in Sept. on the glory and just booked my flight and noticed that i have a 30 minute layover in Cincinnati, I have never had a connecting flight before and to me this is kind of short, am I right or wrong?
Nope.. its normal.. However, if you have to deplane and catch a connecting flight then its real short depending on the airport. Find out if you have to catch another flght and how far the gates are apart.

Make sure you find out what gate your landing at and which gate your connecting flight is at. REAL important.. Any kind of delay can mess you up.

That is short! I think Cincinnati airport is fairly small so you can probably make the plane if everything is on time but I would worry about the luggage making it. Make sure you have a carryon with clothes just in case. If you ask the flight attendant for help, they'll probably let you move forward early when you land to give you a head start but that still doesn't help your luggage. That's one reason I never fly day of the cruise.

That short of a layover can make catching a connecting flight tricky. Flights of the same carrier usually board at near by gates so as long as your first flight isn't delayed you should be fine. If you connect to a different airline 30 minutes is really tight but doable.
Often the airline will hold a connecting flight if they have passengers booked from a flight that is delayed. Still if your first flight is delayed, it would be a good idea to let the flight attendant know what flight you are connecting to. Sometimes they can radio in and make sure the other plane will still be there. or have someone on the ground make alternant arraingments.
