what's the best east/west caribbean cruise for singles?

While I'm going on my first cruise this year with my teenage son (Sensation/Bahamas), and will be going on another one with him in 4 years (Eastern Caribbean), when I will be 50. I want to take a cruise on my own in between, in 2009.

For those in my age group who have cruised solo on a Southern or Western Caribbean itinerary, which ships did you go on and how did you like the programs, etc. arranged for singles? I'd love to hear your experience so I can know which ship might be best for me. I plan to take only "vegetate at the beach" excursions.
