Default Destiny's Dining Rooms Universe or Galaxy

Hello,

Can anyone tell me which dining room on the Carnival Destiny ship is nicer, or are they both similar? Just wondering?

Well... I don't really think it matters but the Universe dining room is at the aft (rear) of the ship and the Galaxy dining room is mid-ship. You get seated in the different dining rooms on the time you've chosen to eat. We had late seating and that was in Universe.

We were on the Destiny last year.
I think we were in the Universe DR.
Look for Martin, he was pretty funny and entertained the childern.

Either way you will really enjoy.

Don't be afraid to ask for seconds or thirds for that matter. The protions are pretty small. Food was great though.

Hi takevtr1:

How was the Destiny, I heard it is a really big ship. We were on the Elation last year, and I heard it is nothing compared to the Destiny. We shall see.

I hope Martin is still on the Destiny and we will certainly look for him. What shore excursions did you do?

Not exactly sure what your itinerary is but,
if you are going to Dominica, whcih I think you are, you MUST use Fredos P. for you shore excursions.
Here is his website:
http://freddy536.tripod.com/

Please send him an e-mail. I promise you will not be sorry.
He was, without question the highlite of our destiny cruise last year.
Also, do some research on reviews for him.

Tell him Mitch M. and family say hello. We were with him in Aug of 2006.

Other than that, let me know where you are going and I will see if I can help. I know they changed the the islands for this year.

Mitch.......

oops, one other thing.
He took us river rafting and it was the best thing we did all week.
You can leave all your stuff with him in the van and he follows you along the river in his van.

I would consider him a "friend"

takevtr1:

We are not going to Dominica, but if we did, I would definetly use that guy you recommended. We are going to Southern Carribean.

St. Thomas, Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua and Puerto Rico.

If you know anybody we could use with those islands I would really appreciate it. Someone told me to use Herod Stanislas for St. Lucia.

My husband is leary to use someone else other than Carnival. We always used Carnival to book our shore excursions. I keep telling him that everyone uses outside vendor other than Carnival and they have no problem.

Any information you can give us about Destiny, we would really appreciate it.

Thanks so much

Only use recommendations that you get from this board.
This is what I did.
The only time we did not was in St. Thomas. We were going to rent a car and as we were walking to pick-up the car we got talked into taking a private tour with someone off the street. He did not take us to where we wanted to go. Although this was not a total washout, we would have rather gone to the beach that we wanted to and not the the one the taxi driver talked us into.

Unfortunately I do not remember the guys name.

Again, only use tour operators that you get from this board.

If I can dig up the guys name I will pass it along.

Mitch,

Thanks for helping us out, we really appreciate it. How is the DESTINY? Any good tips for us? Do they have blow dryers in the rooms? The reason I am asking this question is last year on the Elation, they had no blow dryers in our room? Just curious.

Thanks

Mitch,

I just saw on the itinerary that we are going to Dominica, so I am going to check out the person you told me about.
