No, I've never done this onboard. I always squeeze it into my final days because I've heard the prices are at least double the cost of shore services. My manicure and pedicure last at least a week, so I'm good until I get home. I've already made my appointment with the hairdresser and the nail salon for Friday before we leave.
If you are going to walk on thin ice, you may as well dance!
I had a pedicure on the Victory while were were in Costa Maya--we only did shopping so had oodles of time. The peiducure cost was $55 and I decided to buy the lime and ginger sea salt scrub. The total bill was $113 and I was a wee cheap and left a $5 tip, I know, I should have left $10, but was a wee shocked at the price. My feet felt good, sooo good afterwards. I doubt I will get a pedicure in September, but one can't know for sure until them.
I guess one of the tongue-in-cheek advantages to living in NYC is I don't get sticker shock on a cruise ship-at the bar, or at the spa. $55 is what my normal spa pedicure costs. (And I find the massages comparable as well).
They often have specials on port days, though, that might be cheaper options.

I live in New York also, but I live in Queens, New York which is about 15 or 20 minutes from Manhattan and I get a Manicure and Pedicure and it costs me only $15.00. I guess the prices differ all over.
I would be so shocked with that, Id probably fall over. Down here in FL our prices are mainly $20.00 for Pedicures and Manicures are normally 10.00 depending where you go alot of them do specials here =)
I got a manicure for $29 on the Liberty because I wanted to look great on my return to work. It definitely added to my tan and I didn't have to do it myself in a rush. It was way more than we pay in MA but for a special treat it was a good plan.
I have gotten a pedicure on both my past cruises, and I have to honestly say that both times were a HUGE disappointment. The prices were very high for the services I got, and the painting job was amature (sp?) at best.
The massages I got were first rate, but for some reason the pedicures failed in comparison. Maybe I am just spoiled by a great salon that I use at home, but it wasn't the usual relaxing experience that I am used to getting. She was done in 20 minutes!
You know what would be an excellent excursion for women? A "spa" on a beach. Massage tables, pedis and manis while you're looking at the ocean instead of the TV. Get your hair washed and conditioned, get the head massage, and then instead of blowing you out they can give you a nice french braid or something....
Gah... Just thinking about it makes me want to melt.
I take care of all that at home before I leave. I would rather be sitting in a hot tub, sauna, what ever while on my vacation. I have had a manicure before formal night before. OMG I want to be on my ship now!!!!
