Default NEW SHIP - Splendor itineraries annoucned

Just wanted to post for anyone who hasn't seen the new splendor itineraries. Next summer it will be sailing northern Europe, then the Mediterranean. I pasted the link below.

http://www.carnival.com/splendor

Bookings start May 10. I am seriously thinking about the Northern Europe one. Carla

Thanks Carla.

I wonder how many on here realize that Carnival will have a new ship out next year, and this is for that ship.

Thanks for sharing

I had not heard the name for the new ship. More confusion between naming the ships.....Splendour of the Seas and Carnival Splendor!

I'm sure it will be a beautiful ship and I would love to cruise on it!

It is the biggest so far, 113K tons. The 130K ton liners are coming out in 2009 and 2011 (named magic and dream).

The splendor even has a ceremonial tea house and winter garden above the spa. If you click the link above it gives just a few of the things it is going to have. Carla

Do you think you can book online or do you have to phone carnival when the Splendor becomes available? I like the Northern Europe itinerary.

Bookings offically opened today. Did anybody book? I got the prices from a PVP and it looks doable.

He also said that later this year they would off the past guest discount and perks too. Carla

Can you book only through a PVP? I like to look at the room schematic. What weeks are you going? I was thinking the 2nd or 3rd round.

Yep you can only get info from a PVP. They don't have any graphical deck plans or anything for people to see yet.

I'm not sure which trip were doing. There will be a group of us going as a celebration for my BF's sister graduating. This is her graduation gift from her family. Nice gift huh?

I don't think we will book right away since we won't be booking any of the rooms that would get snatched up quickly. I am hoping that the PVP will get back to us with the past guest rates before the end of summer cause that is when I would like to have this booked.

Some of the cruises are up online, but there are no deck plans, just cabin numbers. Do you think that they are reserving in stages or is the ship already selling out? I don't want to miss the boat but I would like a little more choice before I put $$ down.

Heck - I would go on any of the itineraries! They all look awesome! Just need the 12 days off - which is hard to do!

I can't imagine it selling out right away. But I would think in the next couple months it will especially the first voyage. I am with you I think I want to see a deck plan before booking

We lucked out in picking a good spot on the Freedom: Panorama deck, port side near the front 1010. It was quiet, but near the elevators and the Lido. I would like something similar. I read in another thread that a cruiser was near the lobby and heard noise 24/7.
