I just found out that Carnival is once again offering the "friends and family" deal. So if one cruiser has served at least 2 years in the military, not only do they get the military discount, but they can book 2 more cabins at the military rate for friends or family. It's only going on for the month of May so you might want to jump on it!
Thank you for the info. I heard about this on another post. I have e-mailed my TA with the info. Hope we can take advantage of it. Waited all winter for it to be offered. Hope it is not to late.
I talked to my PVP from Carnival this morning. He called to see how our cruise on the Victory April 22-29 was. He told me about the military 3 cabin deal and for our upcoming cruise on Dec 30th on the Valor, it was $200 per person for the cat 9 room were are looking at. I ask about a cat 8A room and the discount wasn't as good.
AKcruiser just back from a fantastic cruise on the Victory
The Carnival Military Discount varies from ship to ship, and from sailing to sailing. I guess it depends on how badly they want, and need to fill up the remaining cabins on any given sailing. I have even wanted to book a cruise, and found that the military discount wasn't available,,,,,waited a while, and tried again, to find it IS available. I have an excellent TA who is willing to work for me and wait for the best deal possible. (She knows I don't have any money!)
Good luck, and happy sailing.
I already had some funny feelings about my TA. (I don't think she has my best interest in mind) so I was trying to find out as much info as possible. We already have the military rate on our room, but the kids room is past guest, which is not as good a rate as Friends and family.
