Default When did your bags arrive in your cabin?

Invariably......I think I am always the last person to have my bags brought to my cabin. I always bring the usual swimsuit, toiletries, clothes and shoes for dinner. Around bedtime, I need my pj's! Midnight usually rolls by with no bags! The latest was 5 am, not counting the time DH left MY bag on the bedroom floor! Oh yes, I did have my tags on them!

What time did they bring your bags to your cabin?

Melody

I don't remember exactly, not too long but one did take a lot longer to arrive than all the others, I started to worry! We weren't really waiting around for them since we didn't do dinner in the dining room the first night. I'd say they were there somewhere around 8-9pm maybe? Edited to say that maybe it was closer to 11pm...I can't remember because we were off wandering but my boyfriend says it took "a long time" lol

Melody;
Ours were in the hall by our cabin by 12:30. Just lucky I think. We were there earlier about 11:30 to drop off carry ons. Went back later there they were. DW unpacked and we were off to have fun.

You lucky Slug!

That never happens to me! I stop back by the room every hour or so and nada, no bags! This time I have a plan......tip the porters WELL...........bring the usual carry-on........once onboard, I'm going to let my room steward know that I have things for the cleaners to press.....maybe he can hurry them up!

The arrival of the bags is always at a different time for us. Sometimes rather quickly but other times well after we sailed. It seems to be one of those things that has "no rhyme nor reason" . . . . . . .

We always get to the port early, check in and board the ship by noon, lunch, check out our cabin around 1 then the ship. By the time we check back around 2:30 or 3, our luggage is there and we have always been unpacked before the lifeboat drill. Our tablemates usually have theirs too. I couldn't imagine waiting till midnight or even the next day!!

Goodness, I could not imagine waiting that long for my bags! On the last cruise, I spotted the suitcases on the luggage cart around early sitting dinner (545). We both had our bags waiting by the time dinner was done. we had each checked only one of two, since we both bought a 25" and a 20" (which is carry on size). We packed what we'd need for the day in the carry ons and didn't have to worry at all for clothes!!!

I don't travel very often, in fact I have only been on a true holiday three times in my whole life (30ish years) because my parents choice of "holiday" was the preverbial camping trip from hell in the motorhome (Winnibago as you americans call them) to some god forsaken lake where it wasn't really a holiday because us kids still had to do everything on holiday as we did at home (help cook, clean, take trash out, make beds, laundry, etc...). My first time staying at a hotel was when I was 16 and it was a joy to NOT have to make the bed or clean up after ourselves--but we did make sure we weren't too messy. As for not travelling to much in my 20's, well, student loans, bills, debts, you get the picture. It is difficult to take a holiday somewhere when there is no money left for yourself after paying the bills and buying food (sorry, I did need to eat...).

Default Luggage

We just came back from a cruise on the Liberty and we got our luggage around 5:30. Thank goodness because we had a 6:15 seating and were able to unpack in time, shower and dress for dinner. My brother and his wife got theirs around 7pm.

I feel your pain Angel.....my parents did the same thing. I don't do camping in anything....period! Early in our marriage my DH thought we should go camping at the beach with some friends....THAT was the last time I let someone decide what I was going to do on MY vacation! I decide for myself, and if you want to come along, fine.....if not, have a good time, adios!

We have been lucky with bag delivery, but the last cruise, we had to go down the hall to get our, because they were trying to give them to someone else. It is usually around 4:00

If memory serves me, I usually get my bags around 3-5 o'clock. I get to the ship early and therefore, my bags are some of the first to go on the ship. The latest I have ever gotten my bags was at around 8:00 or so.
