I wrote myself a little application that runs on my windows desktop that keeps a running countdown to the minute of how long until I cruise. So I thought I would offer up my little toy to anyone who wanted a copy
This runs with the google desktop application. Not sure how many people on the forum use Google desktop but since its free I thought there might be a few users. For those of you don't know what Google desktop is, it is at its more simple a side bar on your computer that blends into your background and allows you to add cool little toys like this to use.
If anyone wants one let me know where to send the file to that holds the code so you can install it. Carla

Please send it to me also. I have an icon for Google desktop, but didn't have any idea what it was. This is a fairly new computer and I am still learning what's what. Thanks
marysed, I resent it again but try looking in your junk mail folder. My email address is adias.angel@gmail.com so it might not recognize gmail as a friendly address. Carla

Thanks Kevin. It was nice to see another article on this. My BF is also an engineer in the computer security field so I have read similar things before.
If you do not enable advanced features it will not index your files and thus negate part of the problem from the article. I use my google desktop as a toy for fun gadgets and weather Carla

The clocks that you use to create a countdown usually run a script which uses logic to create the image. Email was never ment to interpret that logic just show attachments and text. I hope that makes sense, Carla

OK all sent. Shlameggy79, I had to send yours through my work email.
I use gmail and hotmail like to pretend that gmail doesn't exist. Any emails from a gmail account to a hotmail account don't even make it to a junk mail folder they just disappear. Sad and petty I know but that is the was Microsoft is playing it. Let me know if you have any problems getting it, Carla

I already have one in the shape of a ship. It is a great way to remind yourself of an upcoming cruise. Like we need a reminder...
