We booked an OV guarantee with Carnival's Triumph.
I found out today that we got a stateroom assigned on the Riviera Deck (Deck #1).
I was wondering how high up is the Riviera Deck from Sea Level?
Any chance that we would get waves "crashing" into the window?
hi
did Riviera on both Victory and Miracle--can't say exactly how high-but I would take that deck again-no waves crashing into windows and nice vantage point ---also-less movement that low in ship-and was in some choppy water at times...
You are low enough to stick an oar out your window and row!
Just kidding. I am almost always on that deck Cat. 1A and all.
I believe you are the equivalence to being between the 2nd and 3rd floor of a building if the water level was the ground floor.
The infirmary and the crew quarters are below you and all of that is above water. At least I know the infirmary is.
It is a nice deck. Easy on and of at port, cabins above you so there is no noise from the promenade, lobby, lido deck or the theater or dining rooms and less movement from the ship. It is a nice deck. My deck of choice.

when we go on cruise we always stay on the riviera deck we get good price for the cruise, its always quiet, never feel and movment, always a friendly and helful staff easy to geton and off in port
Our first cruise we sailed was on the Riveria deck and it was very nice. We never saw or felt waves. We had an ocean view. I do know there is at least one deck ,workers, and maybe more below.
