Ok my fiance and I are leaving on Glory on September 1st and we have been to the Bahamas many times. We usually hit the straw market and of course Senor Frogs. I need suggestions on what not to miss in St. Marteen and St. Thomas. We have never been there. We usually try to do things on our own but after being pushed around in Ocho Rios last year we are a little nervous....thanks

Our group took a taxi to Orient Beach in St. Martin last year. It was fabulous!! In St. Thomas, we took the ferry to St. Johns to snorkel at Trunk Bay, another great day. I am not a shopper so I try to see as much of the different islands as I possibly can and try a different experience each time I visit.
In St. Thomas we did the 5-Star St. John + Trunk Bay excursion. This is a fabulous trip in an oyster boat around the islands to St. John where you snorkel a reef and and/or swim off Trunk Bay (gorgeous). Still had time to take the Skyride to Paradise Point when we returned. In St. Maarten, we did the See-N-Sea. That's a bus ride around both sides of the island with a semi-sub ride on the French side and a visit to Marigot (French capital). Whatever you do, don't miss seeing both sides of this island. The Dutch side where you dock is nice but too commercial for me (casinos, fast-food). The French side is very quaint and scenic. BTW, fabulous cruise, you're gonna love St. Thomas/St. Maarten.
St, Thomas was ok. Went to Sapphire Beach, lots of water sports. St. Martin was my favorite. Went to Orient Beach, it was fabulous. Very beautiful. Went Paraselling, jet skiing, and walked on the beach. Took a taxi from the ship. Cost $6.00 each way. Food was very, very expensive.
$40.00 for 2 hamburgers and 2 cokes. Tbana
when we went to st thomas we went on the skyride to paradise point
the skyride is 5 minutes from were the ship docks right across from havensight it was realy beautiful if you want more info about the sky ride go to sthomasskyride
St Maarten, when you get off the ship, it is a short walk to the taxi stand - grab a taxi to Orient beach. beautiful beach, and this is easy & cheap to do on your own and you don't get hassled by anyone.
St Thomas we went to paradise point at 9am, and it had just opened, no lines no waiting. It was beautiful! Then we went on a tour at noon, snorkling in secret harbor. It was supposed to go to trunk bay but the waves were to high that day so it was changed to secret harbor.
we were a little dissapointed with that change - but, someday we will make it to trunk bay.
Be cafeful in St. Thomas, while sitting in a taxi, the taxi was involved in a minor car accident with another taxi (the top of the wood roofs clipped each other). Both drivers got out yelled at each other in some foreign language and then got out a hammer and nails to repair the damage to the roof of the taxi each had recieved. No cops were called, no appology to us the passengers, and this was a full taxi 20 or so people on board all on a shore excursion with Carnival. Nothing was reported to Carnival by the shore excursion company nor the taxi driver. Just something to think about when in St. Thomas, drivers there are kinda crazy, they just gun it and go.
