Wait until you get to your first port. The money you will save will make up the cost of a few drinks on the ship. Unless you have a car, there are no stores within easy walking distance of the Miami port. From what I remember, the port is a good distance from any commerce area. I don't think it is the type of area you will feel comfortable walking around.
However, that was a few years ago and I do remember a lot of construction so maybe there is something nearby now.

The Port of Miami is separated from the mainland by a bridge, there are no stores at or near the Port. Bayside Marketplace is located just before you go over the bridge to the Port but don't know if there are any liquor stores there, that would be the closest retail venues. Where will you be entering the Port from? Airport? Hotel? Driving?
There aren't any liquor stores in Bayside, but there is one a couple blocks from there. It is on NE 3rd Avenue, a short walk from the Holiday Inn Port of Miami. I always go there before the cruise.

We sailed out of Miami a few weeks ago and stayed at the Holiday Inn Port of Miami. It was an easy walk from the hotel. We felt perfectly safe in the area. There were many crew members walking around the area from the ships that were in the port that day. They had a decent selection of wine to chose from . we bought several bottles to take onboard with us
