I haven't stayed in one, but got a good peek thru an open door as we were boarding on the Miracle. It was just as advertised (or at least the one I saw) - lifeboat visible in the bottom portion of the window, but most of the window unobstructed. The view? Same as any other window cabin, but with a slice of lifeboat.
Hopefully someone who has actually sailed in a 7A can help you.

I have stayed in one of these. When Miracle was first new, they did cruises to nowhere from ports on the East Coast. I went out of Baltimore.
Half the people on the cruise where there to drink the other half was to gamble. I wanted to see the new ship.
The only drawback was one morning they were cleaning the lifeboats - it was very loud!
