Default cab to port of miami

How much is a cab from Fort Lauderdale Airport to Port of Miami? Is it hard to catch a cab from the airport?

It is a flat rate from Miami, but not from Ft. Lauderdale. You are a lot farther away from the port of Miami when flying into Ft. Lauderdale. But cabs will not be a problem. Plenty of those. Just expect a longer ride, especially with traffic. Probably an hour or so.

You do realize that if you handle your own air arrangements, you can still purchase a transfer from FLL to the cruise port through Carnival. It will be a bus full of fellow cruisers, but it is only $20 pp.

I took a cab from FLL, to Miami port, and we paid $ 80.00, for four of us, it was worth it, to go when we were ready, not waiting for the bus to pull up, and wait to get filled

The bus is what is called the transfere with CCL. You can add it thru PVP or your TA, whoever you booked with. Ask for CCL transfere.

We are coming in 2 days early, and staying at the hotel by the port....I know we can do the CCL transfers when we disembark at the end of the cruise, but what would be the best way to go from the airport (Fort Lauderdale) to downtown when we first arrive? I read on the airport site that they have a super shuttle that goes to downtown Miami hotels....maybe I will call the hotel or airport and see if they go to the Holiday Inn Port of Miami to be sure....Anyone know????

I've used the shared ride from FLL to the Holiday Inn Port of Miami. It will take a little while, they will drop eveyone off in South Beach first, then go over to Miami. Kiosk is outside of baggage claim, just ask the guy about the shared ride.
