I have seen a lot of RCI vs CLL comparisons. I have not read any on NCL vs CCL. After reading about NCL's freestyle cruising it sounds like something I might really like.
Can anyone help compare the 2? I have a list of things below I am curious about. I am going to post this in the NCL forum too. Thanks, Carla
- Rooms and how comfortable the beds are
- On board activities
- Dinner dress and formal night (if there is a formal night on NCL)
- Cost - are they comparable?
- Anything else to help me understand the difference
- Carnival Inspiration 3/3/07 - Grand Cayman & Calica
We were on the NCL Star. We were in a mini suite. It was a little larger than a CCL balcony, but it did have a much larger bathroom with a tub. Their reg. balcony are a little smaller than CCL. It was an 8 day Mex. Riv. It was our most relaxing cruise. We love to get to know our wait staff so we asked to be seated at the same table for 2 at the same time, every night The staff was wonderful, the entertainment was good and the Spa was very nice. They had a great whirpool inside that we loved to relax in. We always watched for specials and our 8 day mini suite was comp. to our balconey cabins on the Carnival Spirit and Pride as far as $ went. We love to dance and their dance floors were sticky, that was our only neg comment which would effect no one but us. Hope this helped. But then my motto is there is no such thing as a bad cruise, because even a bad cruise is better than no cruise at all.
