Default Bath & Beach Towels......

Do we need to take beach or bath towels? I read that Carnival provides each guest 1 to use, are they stingy with the towels? Are the towels good quality towels? I use 2 towels every time I bath, one for my hair & one for my body. When I go to the beach, I also use 2 for me, one to lay on & one to dry off with. I guess my question is.....do I need to take some or are they fairly generouse with letting you use theirs. It's 3 of us in each room. We all use lot's of towels.

It is not necessary to take towels. The beach towels can be taken with you while in port. Do keep an eye on them, I have read stories about them being stolen.

Regarding the bath towels, they are nice towels. When the cabin steward first introduces himself/herself to you, mention that you would like a certain number of towels in your cabin, and they will be there! They take such good care of you, you will be amazed! Usually if I ask anything extra of the cabin steward, I will tip them extra at the end of the end of the cruise. I usually have fallen in love them by then, and want to bring them home with me.

I tend to shower several times a day, because I have to use sunscreen any time I spend any period in the sun. I have never had any problem with the number of towels in the cabin, despite the number of showers I take. Usually, the room steward gives me a new set of towels everytime they process the room.

The beach towels are fine, but, as mentioned, be cognizant of your towel - if it is lost or stolen, you will pay for it.

You will have plenty of towels in your cabin to use.

The first time we came back from the pool in the middle of the day, I realized the towels we had used that morning were missing. I thought my kids had lost them, and was PANICKED! I didn't want to pay $25 apiece for them! But before I even finished searching for them under the bed & in the closets, Jose, our room steward knocked at the door - freshly laundered beach towels in hand. I didn't know they would wash them and bring them back so quickly.

If you need an extra beach towel for the port just check an extra one out on the Lido deck and then return it to them after you are done. No charge as long as you bring it back before the last day of the cruise.

We have always bought a couple of beach towels of our own especially if we know we are going to spend time at a local beach.

I buy cheap beach towels from Walmart to take on excursions. They are lighter weight. The Carnival ones are so plush, that they tend to be heavy. Also if we loose one, no big deal.

We don't bring beach towels from home because we have oceanview and there is no place to dry them. If you have balcony it would be ok but you just need to keep track of the towels.

When we have an ocean view, we dry them in the shower, or over the back of a chair. Works just as well. You could also go and pop them in the dryer.

Ain't it the truth! The only thing that keeps me from dropping into a blue funk at the end of a cruise is the knowledge that another is already booked! My DH is the best!
