Default What would you like to see Carnival offer onboard?

What would you like to see Carnival offer onboard that they don't currently offer?

I have written on the comment cards many times that I'd like to see a
"Ship it Home" desk onboard where you could go and send your purchases home. I think I would buy a few things more in the ports if I didn't have to worry about lugging them home! I for one would be willing to pay for someone to pack and ship it home for me.

I would like them to get a funpass photo card like Disney World. You just slide your photo card in the slot before you take you picture. Later you can view your pictures from your computer, or even better on the TV in your room and then order actual pictures or a CD. We just spent $260.00 on pictures of our cruise. Totally not worth it, but just couldn't pass them up!

That sounds great! Sure would reduce the stacks of printed pictures at the photo gallery too.

A non-smoking Chess or Checkers game playing area for us old foggies that don't want to go down the slide (fragile bones!!) .... Put up a few tables in a quiet peaceful area where you could play your fellow passengers....

if you could view your photo in the privacy of your cabin it would be great..but it takes the way the joy of looking at really really bad pictures of your fellow cruisemates and it would also not help people who are onboard single hooking up with others in the same category

Venice,

Well I suggest a "Look who's traveling single" board on the TV. Participation would be strictly voluntary. Those choosing to participate would have photos taken the first night. They could view them on their TV and choose one to post on the "Solo Cruiser's Board", which would have space for a short blurb of your choice, such as, "I like to hit the hot tubs on Lido deck at 7 PM, margaritas are the best, and dancing at _______ is a lot of fun!" or the guys could say, "NASCAR IS A SPORT AND I HAVE A VERY ATHLETIC MIND! My cabin number is______!"

Do you think you could find the single girl in the hot tub, drinking margaritas and dancing, if you had a picture of her? Oh, oh, oh....and if you found that magical cruise hookup, you could always remove your info with a swipe of a card or the push of a button!

I'm with Angel on the dance classes! Papa....REDZONE has a few ballroom moves up his sleeve. His DW is a very happy lady!

However, I think I should get a prize for my suggestion. HMMMM a free cruise sounds nice!

Default Cheaper Internet Use!!!

I would like to pay one set price (per day, per curise) for internet use while on the cruise rather than pay per minute (robbery on the high seas). Not that I can't keep off the computer while on vacation, I like to send pics to friends and family as I take them.

I would like to see them offer more for the early bird, my husband and I are such morning people, but everything is closed.
I would even just love to see one hot tub open, or one pool. Its very frutrating every morning watching them wash the windows to the hot tubs, until 8:00, when you have been sitting their for two hours.

How about coming up with new contests. I am getting kind of tired of the hairy chest contest.

On my first cruise next month, I hope there will be a way for single parents travelling with their kids to hook up with others! What better way, especially for moms, to travel safely in the ports with or without a Carnival excursion. I know we may be seated with other single parents with teens in the dining room, since I asked for a large table, but it would be great if there was another way to find single parents with teens.

Default I second that Tweety!

They need new activities all around. PLUS- new games for the game room. Last time we went, the board games were scarce and what they DID have, was in fair at best condition. Some game pieces missing too. I feel like bringing some of mine to donate-lol. Plus I was saddened to learn that the Destiny Idol things are rigged too! The same people have won the last two Destiny cruises we were on-

Oh- I almost forgot- more affordable alcoholic beverages would be nice too! I can understand they need to make money but c'mon- they could do better than five or six bucks for a watered down drink- sheesh. Most people drink more on vacations- that seems to be when I drink the least!

OK, we just got off of the Celebration today and they had dance lessons every day. Each day had a different style. Ballroom, swing, disco, and country line dancing was offered. Both DH and I loved the quicky dance lesson each day.

What I'd like to see is better entertainment offered I'll be quite honest the song and dance production shows were less than I expected

Lastly I'd enjoy the casino/bar areas better if there was an effeciant smoke handler to help clear the air of cigarette and cigar smoke.

I know this has been touched on before, but I think it would be a good idea to have a Carnival Rep on board to offer some money saving discounts to book future cruises, like reduced deposits, upgrades, etc.

As far as the smoking question goes, I would prefer the return of the Smokefree Paradise - except that it has now been polluted, so that won't work.

With regards to the dance lessons idea, let me suggest that you look locally to adult education classes - my wife and I began taking ballroom dancing through adult education about a decade ago. Now, we can dance our way across the Mediterranean and Atlantic come October.

I would like to see different kooky contests. I dug out the old Capers from my 1991 cruise and they had activities like knobby knees contest and greased pole pillow fight. A week long scavenger hunt would be cool with the last night being the finals where the prize is doled out--they could publish the items in the capers and if you want to compete, you can...

Cheaper booze...I limit myself to one or two drinks a day because it is so expensive.....oooh, I got a good one cheaper spa treatments....

I agree would love to see some good english stouts and ales. I agree on the smoke thing. I love a good cigar. But only on the smoking side of the ship by the stern. It gets way to smokie(sp) even for a smoker in the casino.

What would I like to see Carnival offer on-board?

A properly designed ventilation system.

New ventilation ain't gonna happen! I am a reformed smoker. I quit 10 weeks ago (at least I think it's been 10 weeks) and the smoking on the Conquest was MUCH less than previous cruises. Didn't bother me a bit.

I like the week long scavenger hunt...but they would have to change the list each cruise because all it would take is one Cruisemate onboard taking notes, and then the whole world would have ALL of the items packed ahead of time!

Cafe Au Lait..........nuff said!

Melody

PS I still think I should get the prize!

Default Pic Sharing

Wouldn't be cool to be able to share some of your best pics with the ship soon after you return from a Port of Call? Would work something like this: Go to the ships photo center, use your memory card to download which pics you want to share. Soon after that, people can view your pics (everyone's pics) in selected TV screens thoughout the ship or in the comfort of your cabin. There could even be a prize for the best pic taken? Remember, you heard it here first. I know this is gonna' catch on like wild fire. Watch out!

I would also love to see SMOKE FREEE SHIPS again, like the Paradise had. It was such a pleasure when my family and I cruised on the Paradise a few years ago, not having to breathe in the smoke. My daughter has asthma, so breathing in smoke is not good for her. I still don't know why Carnival made the Paradise a smoking ship. I heard that they were loosing money, but how. I think there are a lot of non-smokers who would love to cruise on the Paradise, and if you were a smoker, than you don't sail on Paradise.

I have nothing against people who smoke, so please don't tear me apart. If you choose to smoke, that is fine, but my family and I would rather not breathe in the smoke.
