Default Anybody stayed at Ramada Inn Airport/Cruise Port Hotel?

If anybody have stayed at the Ramada Inn Airport/Cruise Port Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale, pls let me know how you liked it. Decent area? Clean? Friendly staff?, etc. I understand they might have free shuttle from/to hotel and cruise port. Thanks for any info.

Okay Debra, This is what I have been able to find for you.

Ask for a ground floor room if possible. No elevators

No convenience store near by, but port has cheap soda machines for taking sodas on board the ship.

Breakfast buffet is very good, and not just your average sweet rolls and coffee. It includes every kind of breakfast food.

They us a motor coach to shuttle the passengers to the port, with a trailer behind for luggage

You will be one mile from the airport, and one and a half miles from the port

nice pool

Marina is 1/2 block away, and a great place to eat dinner.

Motel is older, with outside entrances, but safe

How's that for info?

Luanne

Default RE: Ramada Inn Airport/Cruise Port Hotel

Thanks so much Luanne. That's the info I was looking for. Is there a reason you suggest the 1st floor? I'm curious....

I was told that the hotel staff will help you with luggage is you are not on the bottom floor.

We stayed at the Ramada Inn over a year ago. True about no elevators. However, the hotel was very nice, pool was great. They do shuttle you to the port and pick you up. They have a parking lot near the back that you move your car to before getting on the shuttle. Great pre cruise place and not have to pay for parking!
