My original Passport was issued in Miami but I recently renewed it and found out, by calling the government Passport office, that the renewal was handled in New Hampshire and I live in Florida. WHAT!!!
I had filled out the funpass documentation several weeks ago. At the time I was confused and looked it up. The "city" of issuance is usually listed under the field that says "Authority". On some passports, this is a city. On mine, it says "Department of State." Whatever it says there is the city of issuance. That's right, if it says Department of State, it is Department of State.
