Default Received our documents, but have a question....

Guess we will call Carnival on Monday to find out, but figured I would post here first

We just received our documents for our first cruise which is June 28th

When we booked, we booked 2 cabins - one for us and one for our 2 children - ages 17, and 18
Of course one child is booked with each adult.

Anyway, we booked a guaranteed balcony for us, and a guaranteed stateroom for the kids. Our agent at carnival told us that there is a slight chance the children would be on a different floor, but would try to get them on our floor

Fast forward to last week.......

We get a call from the agent saying Good News - We were upgraded to an extended balcony - and also the kids are on our floor (down the hall somewhere).....He also gave us both the cabin numbers

Fast forward to yesterday.......

Received documents - Our cabin number is on the documents (same cabin number he gave us on the phone - Deck 7: verandah) - Our luggage tags are pink-----The other cabin doesn't have the cabin number - it says TBA (to be announced) and the luggage tickets are gray and aslo say TBA

Does anyone know why the documents for the second cabin wouldn't have the number since he already confirmed with us? Does this mean they will not be in the cabin he originally told us?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Have a nice day

I would be calling Carnival to ask. I would guess with different colored tages the rooms are not real close together. Do you know the number to call?

On the post you want to edit there is a quote button on the top of the post, to the right of that is an edit button, click on that button. Good luck.

Because you booked guarantees and not specific cabins, Carnival can change your room assignments literally right up to your boarding.

It would appear to me that Carnival had the opportunity to sell the room that they originally planned on putting your kids in, so they did so. Now, they have to figure out where to put the kids.

Likely, you won't find out where the kids are going to be until you get to the ship - I have sailed six times with TBA tags and never found out before.

One thing I would suggest - if you have not already done so. Get your reservation signed into the Carnival website - you may discover the room number before you leave.

Best of luck.

MTSFP, What do you mean by getting my reservation signed into the carnival site?? Isn't that just if you want your documents electronically?
I am confused....lol

There's an online registrration process available on the Carnival web site. You should do that anyway, to save time at check in.

It begins by putting in the booking numbers. Once you enter that, if the cabin is already assigned, it will show the cabin #.

It's quite possible that the cabin your kids got was assigned after documents were sent. It does not necessarily mean the cabin was changed again.

As Kuki stated, you can add your reservation to your profile on line at Carnival.com and then see additional details.
