This was my first cruise ever and I must say I had the most fun of my entire life. I can't wait to go on another cruise. A lot of people kept telling me that the Sensation was one of the older ships and not as nice but I didn't get that from the ship at all. I loved the ship and I couldn't even tell it was one of the older ships. Just thought I'd share since I posted 1 million questions on this site before I left.
Actually, May 27th. I'm hooked I've been looking at possible next cruises since I got home. Before I went on the cruise I was thinking if I like it I'll try a lot of different lines but I had so much fun on Carnival I'm afraid if I try other lines it won't be as fun. The food was great, the service was great, the parties was great, the drinks were great (virgin of course ), and the ship was great! However, I did go with a rather large group and we had quite a bit of private parties and we brought our own DJ. What did you think about it?
This was my 4th cruise and i only do Carnival. I love everything. Freeport has a great beach at Our Lucaya and Nassau was alot of fun also. I wish i had booked a longer cruise! My friend Matt and I stayed up late every night looking for girls and partying . We were so bummed when it ended. Great ship and great destinations.

Thanks for letting us know your impressions. I always wonder if a "NewBee" really has as much fun as those of us who've sailed 100 or so times. Trust me, the thrill never wears off. It's just as much fun and just as exciting after over 100 cruises, as that first one is.
You'd better get busy and book your next one!
Hi, I hope you'll post a DETAILED REVIEW of your whole trip as I'm doing the 4-day Sensation to the Bahamas thing on July 29th with my 1 year old son - this will be our first cruise. Also, please post photos on the photo gallery!
What were the evening shows/comedy acts, etc . that you attended and how were they? What excursions did you go on? I'm desperate for any details about Sensation that I can get!
I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your first cruise!! Your post echoes exactly what I felt a year ago on our first cruise. I, too, will be cruising on Sensation this summer and we can't wait! Are you planning to post a detailed review? Would love to hear about the activities and your excursions!
Glad your trip on the Sensation was great.
Our family (me and the wife and our son) took our first cruise on the Sensation in 1995 when it was 2 years old. They say your first cruise is the most memorable and that is partially true. It was our first cruise with Carnival and we have sailed 3 more times since then on Carnival. Our last cruise, May 2007 on Destiny was fantastic! Just me and the wife since my son is too old to hang with his parents. We had 6 ports of call and had a great time at each one. Being this was our fourth Carnival cruise, it is hard to choose the best because they are all great. The Sensation was special because it was our first and Destiny was special because of all the fun ports. By the way, in 1995 the Sensation was doing 7 day eastern and western Caribbean cruises.
You really need to do a 7 day cruise, it really is great.
