Is it just the three of you? Or is your husband going too? I don't know how you could fit four (4) people in one of the standard cabins. The suites perhaps, but not the standard cabins...

Our friends were in R202 and this was set up for three people. Two twin size beds on the floor, and there was a bunk that folded down from the wall for the third bed. This cabin would sleep three easily enough, but me living in a house full of girls... I know the space girls need for getting ready, bathroom time, shower time, make up time, and so on... lol.

If it's just the three of you, you'll be just fine. Just organize your getting ready time so you're not bumping into each other.

As for your 16 year old... I guess it's how comfortable you are on letting her "do her thing" with the club and all. We were fine letting Aleshia pretty much do whatever she wanted. We did not put a time limit on when she needed to be back in the cabin, but we did expect her to meet us for dinner and any other arrangements we made. She followed our rules and with that, we gave her a little freedom which a 16 year old just eats up.

I'll see if I have any pictures of the 3 bed cabin for you.

Andy

Yes, there is a DH going.
We have a quad cabin. TA
thinks we will be comfy. We
don't plan on being in the cabin
to much anyway.

As far as the 16 goes, she has
her moments. The problem
we face is this. Our 13 is very
mature for her age and people
think she is older then the 16.
Tall. 5' 6 vs 5'3 short Plus they
look a lot alike. 16 hates this
and doesn't want to be around
her to much. I just don't think
the 13 will like the camp for her
age. I hope she has fun, too.

Kim,

Your 16 year old is going to be just fine, especially if you give her a little freedom to do her thing. It'll take no time for her to make some friends and she won't have little sis hanging around.

As for the 13 year old... Aleshia was mature for her age too. You might try taking her to the meet and greet at camp carnival so she can see other kids who will be there. There are a lot of kids her age that will be there, so she'll not be alone. I'm betting there are going to be quite a few other girls her age at the meet and greet that are feeling the same way she is. You know... "I'm too old to be hanging around with these babies" type of thinking and so on... If she doesn't meet anyone that first day, get her to the pool early the next morning. She'll find some girls her age and all will be fine.

Kids this age have some kind of secret communication thing going. They'll just look at each other and know they're feeling the same things. This will draw them together and before you know it, your 13 year old will be off and running having her own good time leaving you and DH to have your own good times.

As parents, Kim and I were worried about our kids having fun before we went. Within the first day on the ship, those worries went out the window. I'm sure your girls are going to have the time of their life.

By the way, check your PM's. I sent you one yesterday about more pictures.

I was thinking about you Luanne when we were on the tender going ashore... I didn't have any paper or pencils, and I was too afraid to try and scratch a message on the tender railing for you.

Your cruise sounded great too! Lot's of excitement for you and your hero hubby!

Take care. I'm already searching for another cruise to book...

Your 16 year old will have a blast. My BF's sister is 17 and she usually cruises 2 times a year she loves it so much. Carla

Hi Carla!

The countdown clock you sent me went away when I returned from my cruise. Depression will set in if I don't book something soon and get my little clock back...

I bet you can't wait till the end of the year!

Gofishgriff, thank you! After reading your review we decided that is the cruise for us. You have one of the most interesting and best style reviews I have ever seen! Those pictures just almost take me on that cruise. WONDERFUL job!

Well thank you HoneyBear! I was a little worried about posting so many pictures because it can take a while to load the thread and it might turn some people off.

As for the style of the review... well, I guess I get that from Kim. She's always put her photo albums in order so it's like reading a story.

Can't wait to do this again. I had mentioned our camera took a spill so I didn't take as many pictures as we usually do... lol

The Inspiration is not one of the big mega ships, but it was very comfortable. If you pick this cruise, I hope you enjoy!

Andy

Well at least you can put the countdown clock back up as soon as you book or even before you book and are just really excited about one

Waiting till the end of the year isn't too bad now. We took 12 days off for the fourth of July to go camping but after camping is when I am going to start getting antsy

The smaller class ships like the Inspiration are a perfect first cruise. You will be hooked for sure
