Default I'm ready to go... now can I start planning the next one?

Tonight I made the final hotel reservation for our Feb cruise. Everything is all set 8 months in advance. And fully paid in full in advance which is nice.

Now can I start planning our next cruise?

I am thinking Conquest out of Galveston. We havent done the western side yet, and its a shorter flight to Houston then down to Florida cities from Alaska.

ABSOLUTELY! In fact, if you don't have at least in the que, you're behind the curve for us die-hard cruisers! Now is the time to start looking, researching, and booking that next one.
Have fun.

You would enjoy the Conquest and that cruise, we sailed it last March.

By all means BOOK NOW, what's stoppin ya? We book a year in advance so things are paid for by the time we sail, lots more fun that way

And you're exactly right, TX is a lot closer than FL from your flight. We've made that flight when we sailed Alaska.

Book away. All that is required is a deposit and that is always refundable if you only pay the deposit. Carla

Okay so how warm is the W. Carribean during Nov - March. My wife and I are cold temp people, so a cruise down there in summer is out of the question, it will be a winter cruise for us, so we can warm up from the bitter cold of an Alaska winter.

It was perfect in March! My BF took me to Calica and Grand Cayman the first week of March this year. We are from Michigan so getting away from all the snow was wonderful. And we got a great price on the cruise too because of the time of year. Carla

only thing stopping me now is my wife wants to go back to school and get her masters degree. I am fine with that, except that we use her salary as our traveling funds so it would mean no vacations for a year or two.

Sure you can. Budget! I put aside so much per pay check just for cruises. Doesn't mean you have to put back a lot - but any amount helps and perhaps you can cruise before the 2 years are up. You both will need it. I hope you can.

Default conquest

I have a cruise coming up next year on the Conquest, from all my research it looks to be a good one. Also you are going on the Pride, I can tell you that you will have a great time.Check out pictures from Pride under Randy and Tami in the Gallery

Perfect in January, too! When we got back to Texas last January, it was pouring rain. The kids asked if we could turn right around and get back on the ship!

Totally understand that one. Everything got put on hold when I did my masters. I can tell you from experience that she will NEED that vacation after the first year even if its just a short 5 day cruise during spring break. Usually the breaks are the first week of March and the prices are still really good.

Default Planning the next cruise

I agree with the other posts. We almost always have at least one cruise in the works. My friends and family tell me that I am either on a cruise ship and planning to be in the near future at all times. But hey, that is what floats my ship !

As far as the Conquest, we have sailed her 3 times out of Galveston and the temperature was nice all 3 times (September, October, January). We have also been on the Carribean & Bahama cruises in April, September and August, so almost any month of the year is a good cruise month.

Any day on a cruise ship is better than a day at work.
