Default 3Tickets on Paradise to Paradise!

Hi Fello Cruisers,
We have 3 tickets to Paradise on the Paradise. I'm on my way to 2 of the nicest people I know. And, they have never been on a cruise. We splurged and got a Penthouse Suite. So, I'm looking for any Paradise Ship Tips. Thanks in advance.

I have never been on the Paradise but I have had a suite, so let me warn you. Other cabins will not feel the same after this cruise.

As you learn more about the Paradise, let us know as well.

That is what I'm afraid of. I have so far only had outside and balcony cabins. Although Carnivals are by far the largest. I'm afraid that after this they will fall short. But who goes on a cruise for the cabin...? Right... Still looking forward with anticipation and will post after the cruise.

Default The Paradise

Hey HuffCA,

It's been a while, but I remember the Paradise as being a great ship. I think I did a Western Caribbean Cruise on that ship when NO ONE was allowed to smoke on that ship. It was pretty cool being able to gamble without having to inhale allthat smoke.

Good luck on your cruise. My wife and two kids jut got off the Pride last week. On that cruise, the wife and I splurged on a Cat 12 Suite. It's gonna be tought to go back to our traditional Balcony Suite for our next cruise on the Splendor in October 2008.

Thanks MrBill58
I thought that the Paradise was non smoking at one time. Wish it still was. I'm so looking forward to the cat12 cabin. And, I know it will be tough going to a smaller cabin. Thanks for the info.

Carol

We just got off the Paradise 6/22. It was our first cruise so I don't know how it compares to other cruises. But we had a blast. The food in the dining room was excellent. The buffet food was pretty good too. If there is anything specific you were wondering let me know.

First let me say thanks Huffca that was very nice what you said about your cruisemates.
Second... I say why settle? We may just have to save up enough money to cruise in the Penthouse again.

Hi~We are just back off the Elation, which is a sister ship to Paradise.
We are loyal HAL fans, but I will tell you, we loved the Elation.
We had catagory 11. The ship is beautiful, spotless, food to die for, and wonderful staff.
Since they are sister ships, I would think they are similar.
You will have a wonderful time.

If you check out my cruise history, you can tell how much my wife (allergic to smoke) and I enjoyed the old SMOKEFREE Paradise. Life has not been the same since they made her a smoking ship.

Our last two cruises, we had CAT 12 suites - U69, then U73. I have to agree with what was previously said - an outside cabin will never seem good enough after you experience the CAT 12.

Our cabins were absolutely wonderful. As you walk in there is a walk-in closet opposite a real bathroom with a tub (not just a shower).

Next, what approximates the normal outside cabin - except there is more space.

Then a half wall separating the sleeping area from the sitting area - there is a L-shaped couch that can easily sit eight or more people (BTW - it is a great place to hide the luggage behind while on the cruise) and an coffee table.

Then, the balcony - big enough that there is a chaise lounger, not just chairs.

Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.

Personally, I am hoping that our upcoming cruise on the Carnival Freedom will get us an upgrade to a suite - I booked a balcony guarantee, but have been upgraded every cruise since our first on a guarantee, so I can always hope.

MTSFP (which stands for Missing The Smoke Free Paradise)
