Default switching rooms

We, of course had to put an adult in each cabin to book. We did this on RCCL & HAL and they switched the cabins for us right at the port during check in. Does anyone know how to work this on Carnival? Will they change the names in each room at the port or do we have to take care of it onboard? Thanks guys.

They did not change our names. it was me and my nephew booked in one room and my husband and 2 sons booked in another room. If you go to the Pursars desk once you get on board they will make extra keys for you. that's how we did it. Then it was my husband and i in our room and the 3 boys(one of which was is an adult) in the other room.

Just like Nana said is how it worked for us too. Names stay on the rooms and get extra keys.

Your cabin steward will be fine with your arrangement, so no worries there.
