packing list, wardrobe plan and excursion packing list
I've almost finalized my lists and have done a packing test-run to make sure we have room plus some for a few small souvenirs. We are all set to travel with two carry-ons and no additional things, not even a purse for me!
For our 4-night July 29th cruise on Sensation (this trip includes a hotel night before the cruise, a hotel night after the cruise and a car rental after the cruise), I have completed my wardrobe plan so I know that all the clothes I'm bringing will be used, some more than once. I do NOT do laundry on vacation.
With the expected humidity in the Bahamas in late July/early August, I'm sure I will want to at least change shirts after lunch. I will change into something appropriate for dinner in the dining room, then back into casual for the rest of the evening. We'll be having breakfast in our room every day, lunch on the Lido deck, and dinner in the dining room (though we may only do that on formal night, and have dinner on the Lido deck the other nights).

Wow, You are good!!! I'll bet you won't use as many clothes as you are taking, because even though it is humid, you will be in the ship a lot, and have very little chance to get dirty.
I would not take a copy of your passport. It will do you little good off the ship, and if it is misplaced or stolen, it gives the bad guys lots of info, you would not want them to have. If you want to take it, then copy down the passport number, without marking what it is. That number if found is the key to getting a new one, or someone else stealing your info.
I have said all along that you will have a great time. I, along with many others, have helped to walk you through most of it, but remember take your patience, understanding, and your sense of humor.
Yes, since it's all casual stuff and even my formal night dress is velvet, so it will not wrinkle! so I'll be rolling everything and it fits very well!
Mon & Tues we have morning excursions and knowing me I"ll get dirty.
Wed we'll be at sea so I probably won't need to change after lunch.
So I will probably delete a couple of tank tops. In fact, maybe I'll just narrow it down to 5 of them, and I can wash then at night and wear them twice during the trip.
Thanks for tip about the passport, I'll write down our passport numbers in the little memo book I"ll bring with on excursions.

The only thing that I thought about is that the ship tends to be rather cool in the public areas at night. You may want to take a light jacket, in case you find the theaters or casino too cool.
Have fun!

Wow, I must admit, you re very detailed....I have a list going and it is relatively simple. I don't plan the daily outfits, just 4 shirts, 6 tanks, 3 shorts, 3 capris, and something that will pass as "formal." As far as health and beauty aids go, I walk around and make note of what I think I will need and pare it down after. I know I won't be bringing several items I brought last time and never used. I even have a nice bag to pack it all in to so I don't have to pack it all in plastic bags since most of it will fit into it.
yeah, when you are travelling only with carry ons, you have to pare things down. Since I posted this, I have removed one pair of shorts and several tank tops.
I agree with Ready2, pack a light sweater or jacket for the deck at night and those freezing cold show lounges.
It's just a personal preference, but I find denim way too hot for the tropics. Instead I wear light fabric shorts (linen, rayons, light cottons, even silk). I'll never forget experiencing the tropical heat for the first time. 100 degrees had NEVER felt so hot!
Have a great cruise - sounds as though you are really prepared.

Michelle,
I was wondering about the size of your carryons!! You have a lot of things on your list. If you are like me, you will discover that you could have left a lot of it at home.
Good luck with your packing, and have a wonderful time on your cruise. Be sure to tell us all about it when you get home!!
i plan exactly the same way, on a spreadsheet! plan am/pm, dinner, and after dinner with a fleece jacket for the cold dining room and VERY cold main showroom!
blk soft jacket - this is a soft cardigan style buttoned jacket that I will wear if a/c is too cold.
I will re-think the denim shorts - but aren't the evenings indoors on ths ship cool? I will probably wear them on the ship evenings, but not in the ports then. Will wear light fabrics on shore and during day.
My carry-one are within the 45" airline requirements. With my clothes rolled up, everything fits with room to spare.
I might not be the best judge, because I'm always cold, but I found the deck chilly at night. It's not that the air was so cold, but because there always seemed to be a strong breeze (you're moving after all) that I found a bit chilly.
I was pretty much cold most of the time at night when I was inside.
Denim is probably just fine, temperature-wise at night, I would think. I was mostly thinking about leaving the ship in those hot tropic temps!

If you are planning on plugging the night light into the bathroom outlet, be prepared for it not to work. We were on the Inspiration (another Fantasy class ship) last month and brought along one of those air freshener night lights (per other lists we read here on CM).
Turns out that the bathroom outlet is attached to the vanity light (above the mirror). It seemed it only had power when the bathroom light was turned on...negating the need for a night light in there.
The air freshener/night light worked fine in our power strip in the main cabin, so we narrowed down what the issue was in the bathroom. Now, we didn't try plugging anything else in that bathroom plug as I was worried our stronger appliances would be too much for this 'razors only' outlet. It could have just been a faulty outlet all together. We could have investigated further, but weren't too troubled by it. There was too much else to do aboard ship than to play detective with the electricity.
Anyway, your mileage may vary, just want you to be prepared in case.

thanks about the nigiht light note, I decided to leave the night light at home, hopefully there will be some illumination in the room through the window from the lights that light up the outside of the ship. If not, we'll leave the bathroom light on and close the door most of the way.
Michelle,
I don't think you'll get any light in from the window; like LB said it is very dark outside those windows at night. And from my experience the bathroom door thing does not always work...
We were on a 5 night cruise and I don't recall it being a constant problem but it was enough of a problem that I made sure to have a nightlight on my pack list for all future cruises. The problem was that the motion of the ship caused the bathroom door to either close completely (rather than being ajar) or to open completely (waking us all up with the bright light filling the room).
We were on the lowest deck and near the middle of the ship - about two doors away from the middle elevators - so it's not like we were in a bad spot for motion. Maybe it was the door itself...the ship had been recently remodeled. (We were on the 3rd or 4th sailing after being put back into service.) maybe the door had extra easy hinges or something
Anyway just my two cents
