I'm tryng to determine the minimal amount of cash to bring on my trip. is it recommended (or required) to tip the person driving the shuttle from the airport to the ship port? What about the folks who shuttle you to and from the airport to a hotel, or to and from a car rental agency? We would be handling our own luggage (carry-ons only) so do you tip them just for doing the driving?
I am sure others will comment, but as far as drivers go, I believe that depends on the service, and the situation. Since you have your own luggage, he will, as you say, be just driving. You could always be prepared, and see how everyone else does it.
In my past expierence, all those drivers will certainly welcome a tip, usually $5 a person, or what you see fit. You can see of others tip and go from there, a lot of the time you'll see a tip box when you first board the bus, good indication that tips would be nice.
