We are planning to go on the Carnival Freedom and am wondering if anyone can tell us if rooms towards the back of the ship are more rough than towards the front of the ship. We sailed on Liberty last year and had rooms towards the front on the upper level balcony. For the Freedom we are booking on the Verandah level with rooms towards the very back (about 4 rooms from the end). Is the back rougher? Also, on Liberty we could hear a lot of "grinding" noises as the ship was leaving ports and we were dining in the dining room. The silverware and glasses actually shook on the tables while we were leaving the port of Tortola. Does this happen on Freedom?
I think farther aft is smoother, has been in my experiences. 'General' rule is the higher and farther forward, the rougher it 'can' be. Some believe lower and in the middle of the ship is the smoothest but I obviously disagree with that.

Yes, we were in the aft dining room. However, we were in the aft dining room when we sailed on Valor and never felt any vibration. This on the Liberty was like it was grinding like it was stuck on land! Has anyone on the Freedom noticed this? Also, how are the shows on the Freedom?
