Clothes Pins for Shower Curtains ???

Several posts/threads have suggested Clothes Pins for Shower Curtains - I don't really understand this. What or how are they used on shower curtains? And exactly what do they do to make things better? What do you clip them to other than the curtain itself?

Okay picture your shower curtain at home. You have the cloth curtain and then a plastic liner, right? Well Carnival has only the cloth. When you turn the shower on the warm air and spray makes the shower curtain blow out, and open, because it isn't that heavy. Clothes pins on the bottom, make it heavier, and there for stay in place better.

It works great! We used four plastic clips (that can also be attached to regular clothes hangers to convert them to clip hangers) and we didn't end up with the puddle in the bathroom that so many people complain about. I'm sure our room steward appreciated it, too. :D

You haven't lived until your wet butt sticks to the cloth curtain, and when you turn around the shower curtain opens. LOL

They don't call it the fun ship for nothing. LOL

if you bring a plastic shower curtain liner from home $2-$3 can you put it up? Alternatively, I will ask for an additional towel to keep on the floor to absorb any water that goes out of the shower.

I wouldn't worry about bring a liner. You are going to have so much fun, this will be the least of your worries. LOL

$ store treasures

I found a set of magnetic clips at the local $ store that held the curtain in place and stuck to the wall as well! And you can use them for hanging up other things too (like extra bits and bobs) or when your laundry line is full and you need to hang something else to dry.

HTH!

I definitely want to prevent water from spilling on the floor, as I could easily slip and fall if it's wet, which would make you think the cruiselines would at least provide a liner to prevent lawsuits - (they could get them in bulk for 50 cents probabaly) to ensure water stays IN the shower stall.) I don't have clothes pins but I will bring 4-5 medium sized binder clips which will weigh the shower curtain down.

Having recently cruised on the Legend, I can only speak of her.....

the shower curtain was so lengthy that it never once moved from the shower area....even after my Grandson's "Hollywood" showers (Navy slang meaning many, many minutes long....lol). We always had extra towels provided for us by our fantastic stewardness without even asking.
