Default Fountain Fun Cards (pop cards, soda cards)

Regarding the Fountain Fun Cards (pop cards, soda cards) whatever you wanna call them.... How much are they? Are they worth purchasing? And would my two teenage daughters be able to use one card between the two of them? And realistically I would most probably like to be able to use it as well for a coke for my rum and cokes to be used with the rum that somehow or another made it's way aboard in my luggage of all things. 8)

The cost of the card depends on the number of days you're cruising. Is it worth it? That depends on how many sodas you plan on drinking during your cruise. If your kids only drink one or two a day, then its not worth it. If they always are drinking soda, then chances are the card would be the way to go. Do the math and see which way makes more sense.

Soda cards are intended to be used by the buyer, for the buyer only (no sharing or letting other people use your card). It is possible to get away with sharing though. If you choose to do that is your own choice.

I was on the Conquest 2 weeks ago for a 7 day cruise and purchased 2 for my two teenage daughters. It was $39 per card and well worth the money. Not only did it cover soft drinks but they were also able to get non alcoholic drinks such as Shirley Temples and virgin Daiquiris with the card. There were a couple of times I would get them to get me a coke.

So the fountain fun card can be used for virgin drinks? Is that any virgin drinks or just Shirley Temple and the frozen ones? Not that it matters since the frozen drinks are about all I would drink. I did not realize that you could use it for that purpose.

I've only heard of soda cards appyling to soft drinks, never to anything other, but I may be wrong. Atleast on NCL soda cards can only be used toward the soft drinks. I guess you won't know unless you ask. I'd ask before buying the card though if you plan on using it only for frozen and virgin drinks.

The only thing they used it for besides soda was the Shirley Temple and virgin daiquiris but they drank enough of those to float the Conquest.

Default Virgin drinks, frozen drinks & juices?

Is anyone able to verify that with the fountain fun card that they were able to get virgin drinks, frozen drinks, or juices? I'm going on the Glory November 17th and still deciding if it would be worth getting the cards for all of us.

For your rum and cokes, you could just happen to find a 6-pack of cokes in your luggage too

My family of 3 all had fountain cards on our last cruise but since i enjoy tea, water, and lemonade about as much as i do soft drinks, i will not be getting one this time. DH and DS will though because they LIVE on cokes and DrPeppers (unfortunately).
I will be the lucky one to find a 6-pack or two of the little cans of DrPepper in my luggage...for the days I just have to have a soda and the nights that DH can't leave the room or wait for room service to get one or must have a DP instead of Coke.

do they have ginger ale, sprinte and root beer? That's all my son likes and if they don't have them the soda card wouldn't be worth getting.

He likes propel lemon flavored sports drink so I bought a lot of the powedered packets and we'll just add it to his water - also bring along on excursions to add to bottled water - I'll be happy with iced tea, as it's free!

Did not work for anything but soda on the Sensation. At diner I had to show all four cards.

They also wanted to see a kid card when my son went for his own soda. I gave him my adult card once by mistake and they sent him back for the kid card.

Conquest was much more lenient. They did have to show the card when they would get a drink at the bar but after the first night in the dining room the waiter no longer asked to see it. I know they had Sprite and GingerAle but not sure about Root Beer.

No root beer. My wife loves it.

We did only have to show the four cards the first night. They remembered we had them after that.

We bought the soda cards for our kids on all of our cruises and i think they are worth it. Also when we cruised on the Sensation, my kids used thier soda cards to get Shirley Temples. Matter of fact thats just about the only thing they used them for. Which begs the question... can kids become addicted to Shirley Temples? I think i may have three S.T. addicts on my hands! My wife and i were fine with the lemonade, tea and juices that were available.
