Default Carnival V.I.P.

How do you become a Carnival V.I.P. member? What qualifies you to be one? Thanks in advance for your reply.

There are two separate "kinds" of VIP.

One, you book at Cat 11 or 12 and you get VIP Check In....period. Nothing else.

Two, you cruise with Carnival (only Carnival no sister lines count) at least 10 times. All Carnival cruises count...even cruises to nowhere.

On your 10th cruise, you become Platinum when means VIP Check In PLUS these items listed in this letter.

Also if you bought membership in the Carnival Vacation Club, you get VIP status. But if you book a cruise on another line that Carnival owns thru the CVC you don't get VIP status.

Not all Carnival ships honor the Carnival Vacation Clup VIP status (i.e., Carnival Freedom).

We did get our chocolate covered strawberries from th CVC on the Freedom, but they did not honor the CVC embarkation - debarkation VIP privilege.

VIP= Vacation Interchange privilege that can be used for booking on different CCL lines.
VIP tags for debarkation if you have early flights.
Soon everybody will be VIP for everything.
