Thank you malbarado, I too want to know about Sandal's. I was waiting for someone to answer . I'm going in Nov. It will be myself and and old friend. Not a couple just long time friends. I've read somewhere Sandal's was a couples resort, Surely not just couples. Anyone know. ?
I'm booked for September, and it is an adults only excursion.
I have heard good things. Not like, WOW, this was awesome, but I haven't heard any complaints (yet)
It's more than Sunset Beach, but it's adults only, and at least you can check out Sandals. I think that you might be able to get a day pass, but I wanted to do it with Carnival, so I didn't have to worry about getting a cab in Montego Bay, and worrying about all the stuff that goes on there (hopefully).
I was there this past June. It was an enjoyable short three hours actually at the beach. You will be transported from the cruise terminal by buses and will not see or experience any of the bad stuff that happens in Jamaica. I don't believe you have to be a "couple" to go there. They just don't allow children. There is some misinformation in the brochure about not allowing people having a heart condition to go. Carnival reps told me that wasn't true.
trarecar, we took a catamaran ride while we were there. Rest of the time was spent lounging and relaxing and sampling the many drinks they offer. We did not eat in the sit down restaurant but chose to eat at the beach grill instead. The food was just okay. Even though the time was short I would still recommend this excursion to others.[/quote]
