Default Birthday Party?

My wife will be celebrating her 31st birthday during our cruise. Is there anything special that Carnival will do for her? Any fun suggestions anybody else has?

I've seen the gift baskets and the room decorating kit....

She would most likely enjoy a day at the spa. (By the way, how do you schedule those?)

Your waiter will sing "happy birthday"....give her a cupcake [or something similar] with a candle in it. No cost. If you prefer, you can buy a cake. Specifics availabe in the same place where you found your room decorations. Upon boarding the ship, you make spa appointments. They can fill up.....so you might want to make one shortly after boarding. Prices:

You could also get this:

Roses/such for sale in the ship's Formalities shop on board. A single rose [not in a vase] around $5

Carnival wouldnt do anything free, but you can order a cake at dinner for a fee and the waiters will sing happy birthday.

Maybe there are so many celebrating something they quit doing anything free.

Default Birthday

You can go to carnival.com and order the cabin decorations before you sail and even order the cake etc., You can also order the cake once on board.

Ask the cruise director if he could wish her happy birthday during the Welcome Aboard show the first day. We always try to catch this show as it sets the mood for the cruise and is always fun with audience participation.

I planned my hubby's birthday and it went really well. I would advise ordering everything on line, before you cruise.

In 2001, the cruise was a birthday present to the "ex" and I mentioned to the maite'd that it was her birthday. The staff brought a cake to the table for her and sang happy birthday. It was no extra cost for the cake and it was a good sized one... enough for the table of 10 people.

Will you be at sea or port on her birthday? I had a surprise birthday party planned in advance for my sister at Margarittaville in Jamaica. It was great. The DJ kept mentioning her and including her in the song choices. Then they brought out a huge wrapped box with a guy in it that popped out and danced for her! We had a cake that we shared with everone that was there.
