Just a quick and simple question about the excursion.. There is the Dunns River Falls and Dolphin Cove and then there is Dunns River Falls and Dolphin Cove Swim.. I know what the difference is, my only question is do the people traveling on the different ones travel together to the falls and then to dolphin cove on the same shuttle van???

I can't answer your question, but I will tell you that I was totally disappointed by the Dunn's River Falls.
We went to Jamaica in 1999 - the tour was advertised as "the majestic 600 foot Dunn's River Fall". As a result, I was fully expecting something along the lines of Angels Falls in Venezula.
It is a mountain stream, for goodness sake.
I will admit that it is interested to see the fresh water overwhelm the salt water, but other than that, it is a mountain stream.
BTW - don't get caught up in getting dragged up the stream by the guides. It is not worth it and it can be dangerous. One of the women on our tour was being dragged by the line, slipped and hit her head. Can you spell concussion?
My wife and I walked up the steps to the top - there are places that you can step into the stream if you want.

I did the Dunn's River Falls / Dolphin Cove Swim last week. I cruised on the Conquest and they separated the groups by Dolphin swim and Dolphin Encounter for the bus ride down. The swim group consisted of appx 12 people. The bus was air conditioned and quite pleasant.
Once you reach Dolphin Cove, you will be mixed togeher with all of the Dolphin Cove visitors and assigned a letter/number or number. They will call out your number when it is your turn to spend time with the dolphins. I had a blast on this excursion.
I do, however, agree with above poster's comments regarding following the guide at the Dunn's River Falls. They try to rush you through it and it can be a little dangerous. I say break off and do your own thing. Just make sure that you keep tabs on your group. They won't leave you, but you don't want to hold everyone up and possibly delay the excursion.
