Any one sailed recently? When we went in March they ships had the ornaments out. There was one of our ship (the inspiration) that was about 3-4 inches long. Do they sell these year around on all the ships? Thanks, Carla

I would love one. Our Christmas tree is covered in things that we have picked up here and there (usually to see family and go places with them) but still it is special every year to put the tree up and we end up talking about stuff. Remember when we bought this ornament in Arizona at the Grand Canyon, boy that was fun. The tree is a hodgepodge but the memories are beautiful
They still had a rack with ornaments when we were on the Inspiration in June.
I would be very surprised if ornaments were not sold year round. They could be a good little money maker for the cruise line. I imagine there are loads of people out there like us that like to have special decorations on our trees from our travels.

Our first cruise together was last March and we bought a ornament of the inspiration then. But instead of hanging them on the tree we wrote the date and the ports on the bottom and hung it on the wall with our family pictures. Hope to keep this tradition up Carla

Oooh. That's a cool idea. I have ours aside just waiting for Christmas. I think I like the idea of displaying the ship's ornament year round, though. It's not like it has garland or lights on it. It doesn't have to be just for the holidays.
Thanks for the idea.

I have always bought ornaments to represent special vacations and events as well. I have bought a ship ornament of every ship we have been on and I have cruised in Jan, April, May, August, September, and October. I now have so many, that I set up a small tree with just these ornaments every year.
When we took the Med cruise this year, I was looking all over Rome and other ports for ornaments and could not find them. The Freedom had a great assortment which included the standard ship ornaments, but they also had the Tower of Pisa and several other Italian landmark ornaments. I bought one of each.
Can't wait to put my tree up again.

We got one of the pictures of my BF and I in front of the Inspiration printed in 8x10. Then we hung the ornament on the wall next to the picture. We have space on the wall all set aside next in a line for the ships for the rest of the cruises.
I guess that just my little way of reminding my BF to always have a cruise booked
