Default Packaged small snacks

Does anyone know if the small packaged snacks (90 - 100 calorie/bars) are allowed on your flights.

I had never thought until now that "possibly" I might be able to bring them on the flight as a snack, or will security pitch them? I'm not talking about the box itself, but an individual bar/sack.

Thanks for your reply back. It just dawned on me, and I didn't want to bring food that they would get rid of, especially after me buying it.

I really felt sorry for my friend when we flew out of Kansas City in April. She had put several things (cosmetics, very costly) in her carryon bag (I thought she knew better, more than 3oz ), and they took it all out of her bag, and would not give it back. She lost around $50, that she had to repurchase later.

That's why I didn't want to spend any money, and see the item/s go to waste.

Kansas City airport (MCI) now has mailbox boxes with eavrything you need to mail your liquids and other things not allowed in the carry on back to your home. Not cheap though.

My guess is that if you are in the middle of a busy security line and they don't spot your contraban until you are in the secured area, you lose it.

Snacks that are not liquids or gels are all allowed on the plane. Also any food you buy inside the security checkpoint is allowed on the plane. So for example, the burger / soda / and fries available inside the checkpoint at many airports are allowed.

Yes, snacks are allowed on the plane. I bought granola bars and took the both boxes on the plane with me. They did not confiscate it.

Bob, thanks for the input about the "mail boxes" in the airport. It is a shame that my friend didn't know anything about it, as she LOST at least $50 of cosmetics she was going to use.

I had no clue , but I definately know now.

I'm definately planning on taking something to snack on this time, and NOT buying it at the airport, as it "IS" expensive, in "my" opinion.

I "think" I saw on here where someone said you cannot take liquids in your carry-on but you could take an "empty" water bottle! You can then fill it up at the water fountain! Hey, it's an idea if it's true.

Also, I'm pretty sure, you can take your liquids (ex: make-up) in your check-in luggage.
