Default Breakfast/Lunch ?

Can you wear shorts to these meals in the dining rooms or do you have to change into slacks for breakfast and lunch as well? Just wondering if you have to go back to your room and put on pants or if you can go in your trunks.

Trunks? You mean swimming trunks? If so they are not allowed in the dinning room.

I stand corrected. Carnival FAQ sezs ...

"NOTE: Shorts, t-shirts and bathing attire are not permitted in the Dining Room during dinner."

Almost anything goes in the buffet, but treat the dinning room as a casual sitdown restuarnt for breakfast or lunch and you will be fine.

Shorts and even your tuxedo t-shirt are dandy for breakfast or lunch in the dining room. The lovely Mrs. Jones (Vita) and I find that when we eat in the dining room for these meals, we don't overeat as much as we do at the buffet, where we HAVE to try a little, or a lot, of everything.

I've been meaning to tell you, (I even wrote one message but company came and I shut my computer down before sending it.) I think its just precious how you always (never failing) to call your wife "The lovely Mrs. Jones (Vita)". Not only does it show a lot of respect to her but it sure says a lot for you, too. Not to mention making a lot of us other wives jealous that our husbands are not a gallant as you! lol. I'd love to meet you both sometime, I bet she's just wonderful.

Thank you very much Honeybear. As I've said before,,,I just call 'em as I see 'em.
We too would love to meet you and yours, and with any luck, will, on one of the great CruiseMates cruises. We've taken only one of them at this point, but plan on many, many more in the future. When we meet, I'll buy you a cup of coffee.
