Default Should I change my cabin assingment?

I just thought about this... I booked 2 cabins on the Panorama deck cabins 8230 and 8231 on Carnival Pride. Being right below Lido deck I could hear late night noise, but looking at the setup of the area above us on Lido deck, its mainly seating areas, and their entertainment area is further down the ship. We want to keep our cabins together but do you think we should try and get a lower deck to help avoid the late night noise that can be made up on Lido deck?

I think I'd first check and see if there are any other cabins next to each other before you do anything. If the area right above you is just seating and not any late night show, it mostly likely will not be a noise problem by the time you want to sleep.

We are on the Spirit in November and when I found out that my parents cabin and our cabin was under the casino I changed. We were four doors down from eachother but now we are right next door which is nice. We got moved to under the help desk which cant be that bad.

Remember, For the most part, the Lido is pretty much closed down at night. You might hear something, if there is a party going on, but you will probably be there anyway, so it wouldn't matter.

I like your room location.

Had similar cabins on the Miracle. You can hear the chairs sliding all day and during the cleaning at night.

Are you under the inside or outside seating. Inside should be ok most of the night. Out side they pick up the chairs late and put them back out early. Could be some noise then. Also there seems to be a lot of carts pushed through the buffet area at night.

We unfortunantly had our cable right below the bottom of the outside metal stairway to the next deck up. So we heard everone walking on the stairs, AND the crew stored all the deck chairs under those stairs so we heard them sliding all the stacks of chairs under the stairway at night then back out in the morning.

They do show the stairways on the deck plan so you can avoid them with a little planning. On our cruise in Oct we have selected a deck between two residential decks.

That said, we still had a great cruise and would do it again, just not directly under the Lido deck.

AKGrown,

Think of the positive things about being under the Lido Buffet area. just one deck up to grab some food and go back to your balcony. We did this in april when we were on the Victory. We were on the Empress deck, so we had a couple of decks to get there. sure was great grabing an ice cream cone and eating it on our balcony!

I think we're gona stick it out, I hand picked those cabins for the reason of being close to the elevators, directly next to each other, and close to the Lido deck were I know we will spend most of our time when not in the Casino or on land. That being said I know traveling wtih my sister and brother in law on their first cruise they are gona want to hit up the clubs late at night, so I really dont think the noise of them cleaning up at night will be a problem and we will be so tired in the morning that we will sleep through them setting back up in the morning.

We sailed the Spirit, cabin 8265. This was aft right under the pool, you can hear the kids running around this pool and every night and morning you can also hear the crew remove and replace the chairs.

8265 is an inside cabin, Cat. 4e, its a nice big cabin but do not select this cabin if you want some peace and quiet.
