Default 09/09/07 Still couldn't find fishing buddies yet!

My cruise day is getting closer, still hasn't booked any shore excursions yet. Worry if I booked with the locals, and the ship switch ports due to a bad weather, what would we do? Will that be more expensive to book a shore trip at whatever port we end up at? (We will be starting from Tampa - 7 Days to Western Caribbean with the Legend )

You gonna have a good time the Legend is very nice. We sailed her last week and are still in post cruise depression. Make sure you see Franklin the sushi chef on deck 3 daily form 5:30 to 8:30 as he knows how to make that stuff. As far as booking with locals, this is what I have done on the past two cruises (Miracle and Legend) on the same itenerary. I would do it again except in Belize. Both times it has been something over there and next trip I will only take an excursion through carnival. Lots of people say they love it over there but I just didnt feel safe.

Thanks Portslug, this is what I love to hear, I go travel for good food. And specially for seafood. Sushi is the best. Does Franklin makes hand-cone as well? Or he just did the cheap cheap rolls?

Franklin the chef

Some of his work.

While I am no Sushi expert, Franklin did make some good stuff with a different selection daily. He told me he was just recently back from a years study in Japan. The difference between the sushi station on the Miracle and the Legend was like night and day. I would say the stuff on the Miracle was a bad attemp at making sushi.

If you like seafood, dont miss the last night in the main dining room as the Neptunes platter should not be missed.
