Has anyone had any experience using Carnivals prepaid beverage tickets? I noticed they sold these online. Cost was $20 for 4 alcoholic beverages. Does this include any mixed drink or beer? It says tips are included. That sounds to good to be true to me. ????
Please let me know if you've used these in the past. Positive or negative. Thanks.

Although there is no value printed on them, a single ticket can be used for drinks worth up to approx. $5.25. Most standard mixed drinks [such as Scotch & water] cost that much. Beers generally cost less than that...in one case nearly $2 less. You don't get change. If a drink costs more [a Martini, for example] your options are to use a second coupon/pay the difference.
Some people who have used the coupons think them "a hassle". Not because they have problems redeeming them....but because they have to remember to carry them.
I used the coupons for drinks on all the cruises I have been on already. I have begun buying them for the one we are going on in April 2008. For the record we have gotten beer buckets, high end drinks, regular specials, shots etc whatever and never had a problem doing so. I buy them to budget my cruise out. I never owe anything as my on board credit, drink and photos are always paid for way in advance of the cruise. I love the coupons amd as long as they offer them for sale I will purchase them.
Forgot to add that I purchased these little waterproof colored plastic boxes that hang around your neck. I put my cash I use for the day, my sign and sail card and my drink coupons inside it and carry it around my neck. I find it an easy way to carry everything and the coupons etc don't get wet.
