fascination key west/cozumel: which night is formal night?
which night is formal night on this 4-nighter? I would think it's the 2nd night, when we've been in Key West from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.. It wouldn't make sense for it to be on the 3rd night when we're in Cozumel from 1 pm to 10 pm. an anyone confirm? Thanks!
the second night is the Formal night; Key West night. I have done this itenieary a couple of times; it does make it easier to get ready for formal night as you have to be back on the ship by 1:30 pm...
also, plan for the rush of people getting back to the ship; you cannot just simply walk back to the dock (I think it is still mandatory to take the tram/trollery back to teh ship and each passenger's bags are searched by customs as they let the trolley's through the gated area; it is a retired or declassified military base so I don't think you are simply allowed to walk to and from the dock; it would be a long walk anyways.) so allow about 20 minutes for the trolley back; longer if it is a crowded port day.

Martha, thank you, it will be nice to do formal night as my son Ian and I did do that on Sensation. I'll probably do the Key West Deluxe Beach Break excursion. Plenty of time to relax, cool off and prapare to put on my little black dress!

If you are looking to save money, Key West is the "safest" port to do things on your own

is that "southernmost beach" very close to the ship port? I wouldn't mind walking 5-10 minutes to get there and skip the excursion fee...
as I recall you indicated you had problems with walking, something with your leg, I forgot about that before I posted; since walking may be painful for you, you are probably better off getting a trolley tour or some sort of excursion; keep in mind you cannot just walk off the ship; the trolley takes you from the ship to Mallory Square and then you are free to go on your own, with an excursion etc; the trolley is NOT ALLOWED to let you off anywhere but Mallory Square
if the link doesn't work just go to yahoo and map Key West and look for a button of things to do; you can see icons for where the ship is located and "gate permission" however, keep in mind that your "starting point" has to be Mallory Square.
here is another interactive map of Key West; you can see the distance from the southernmost point http://www.keywest.com/cruises.htm; there is an interactive feature that you have to click on.
