Hey Everyone! Thanks so much for always helping out. This is the best site!
We have a Cat 11 suite booked on the Spirit in San Diego. We were told that this gets us "VIP" treatment. Does anyone know what that means? Also, we were told there is no VIP treatment in San Diego. Can anyone help with that one?
There IS VIP treatment in San Diego. We had a cat. 11 on the Elation in June.
You will go to a special desk--there was no line--for priority boarding.
What is even better, you are the first ones off at the end of the cruise .
It took us exactly 10 minutes to debark, from the time we left our room until we were outside !
HAL Statendam 2x
HAL Ryndam 2x

San Diego has a VIP Booth that you check into, its the booth furthest away. Just follow the sign that says VIP this way. They check you in right away and you wait up by the xray machine and when they give the ok, all VIP proceed to board the ship first. San Diego Cruise Terminal does a great job with embarkation and disembarkation.
Long Beach Cruise Terminal also does a great job. After checking in at the Queen Mary, just head to the VIP Line which is located on the far right of the Dome. Once the Wedding party and Special assistance has gone through, they will let VIP board.
Both in San Diego and Long Beach, as a VIP Member you should be onboard and up on lido deck having a nice juicy burger by 11:30am.
