Another Hurricane ??

I heard that Hurricane dean is now like a severe thunderstorm going through the middle of mexico, and they say it could pick momentum on the other side...
1st is this true?
2nd, if so, how long would it take to get to the pacific ocean, &
3rd, would if effect the Encinada/long beach portion of my cruise...?

The 5 day forecast makes it look small huh? Id say more than a week to come out the other side, I dont know if it could reform either if it is now only a thunderstorm, depends on the water temps and where it comes out?

Id keep checking to see what the forecast shows.

The weather channel was talking about that, after someone e-mailed them. they said because of the mountains, it had never happened.

I don't believe the pacific ocean waters off the west coast are warm enough to strenthen the storm into a hurricane.
