Bringing beer on board

Has anyone had a problem bringing beer on the ship? If you bring your suitcases on board with you are they checked?

Put it in your check in luggage...not your carry on,and have a Great Cruise....oh a reminder you will still buy a lot of their Beer!!! on Board and will have have a booze bill

carry on luggage are fed thru x-ray machine just like at airport so content will be seen. All checked luggage are supposedly x-rayed also but don't know how strict they are. I got my bottles of soda thru checked luggage fine.
