While we have not been on this particular excursion we always rent a car and head to rum point when on Grand Cayman. It is away from the hustle and bustle and even if you don't go out to stingray city, many rays still swim close to shore and you can get your fill.
When the crowds from the excursions arrive at rum point we just pack up and head back Island to do some shopping.
I took this tour back in July during my Valor Cruise. I absolutely loved it. Nice small group. Maybe 12-15 people. We went to sting ray city, then a lovely snorkel spot not far from Rum Point Beach. We had about two hours at Rum Point. The beach was lovely, lots of shade and the food was very good. Not crowded at all.
The Nativeway people were terrific guides. Made sure everyone got a chance to interact with the stingrays.
We were back to the port with plenty of time to catch a tender back. Although, don't expect to have a lot of time for shopping. There is a gift shop at Rum Point beach, but that's about it.
Have fun if you book it.

This was THE BEST excursion I have ever taken. Rum Point was awesome. If I were to ever visit Grand Caymen again, I would absolutely do this excursion again.
You make your lunch selection while we are sailing to Rum Point and an awesome hot lunch is ready & waiting. Great fish & chips.
