I sit in the back.. If I don't like it, I leave. There's plenty of other things to do on the ship.

yes I always sit where I can discreetly leave; the shows don't change often enough so I usually leave

also, the one comedian "Miller" is his last name is so predictable that I usually end up leaving

I'm sure you're talking about Kenny Miller. Yep, he's so bad that even I considered walking out. I can't imagine why they keep this guy on, except that he makes the other comic seem REALLY good!
To answer the question, I normally won't walk out, as we've gotten into the habit of sitting way up front, and I respect the performers a great deal, and as a result, won't walk out. As stated above though, Kenny Miller is one that I will walk out on. (Actually, in the future, I just won't go to his show, as now, I know better!)

On cruise ships if I think there is any chance that I may not stay for the entire show, I sit in the back on the end so that I can slip out discreetly. Otherwise, I tend to sit way up in the front and would not leave because it is so noticeable.

In my mind, that is the price I pay for a great seat upfront. Once the show starts, barring an emergency (ladies room run), I am committed to stay to the end.

However, I live in NYC and am a bit of a theatre buff. At this point, if a stage show is really awful, I will try to wait for intermission and then leave. If no intermission or if it is just torturing me, I will get up and walk out no matter where I am seated.

Unless I know we're really going to love it, we try and sit way in the back or up in the mezanine so we can sneak away without affecting anyone elses enjoyment of the show.

I would also sit perhaps in the middle so I can still see if it's good, but slip out without too much interruption of other people's views if I'd rather not stay. I would feel a little sas for them as I know those people work hard.

A number of years ago, when in NY on business, I went to see a Broadway show Kathleen Turner starred in with Jude Law (he was nude in it). Ms Turner was ill and her understudy was on that night. 1/3 of the audience left at the 1st intermission and never came back. I felt bad for them! I guess they only came for Ms Turner. I loved the show and everyone in it was awesome. Especially nude Jude. I can't imagine their horror to come back and see 1/3 of the audience gone.

Ditto, we try to attend all the shows but, while most are good, some just ain't. I vote with my feet.

We go to all the shows. We figure that is part of the price we paid for the cruise. We normally do not go to the midnight show as we do not care of the type of language that is use. But that is just us.

Also, sense we only get to cruise every other year, the shows changed and we have not seen them.

The Liberty has a nice second level which actually overhangs the first level and the sitelines are great. If I ever wanted to leave, I would.

I heard they don't change the shows too often and I caught the shows this April. I suppose the shows will be the exact same next April. More likely, I'll catch more movies on the big screen or send the kids to Camp Carnival and maybe my wife and I can get to some clubs.

Normally I would leave it they are really horrible and I try to sit someplace where I can descreetly leave. It will be interesting to see what happens on this next cruise though. My parents and husband are on this trip and they have never been on a cruise so I am wondering if they will want to see shows or what.

That's the guy! I won't go to another either, last time, I was just hoping he got new material and personality

On our recent cruise we sat front row center for the main show of the evening. Both theatre levels were packed with people.

The show centered around a singer who sang big band music. Now, this man was very talented but his show was so boring that it was painful. About a third of the way into the show, my DH and I looked back and noticed that the rows behind us, which were packed at the start of the show, had huge gaps in them. After 30 minutes the place was pretty bare. The singer kept making comments about how empty the theater was.

Because we were in the front row, my DH and I didn't want to be rude and leave. We really felt bad for him but felt even worse for us. Needless to say, we suffered through the entire show. We started to leave when the show was over but then he came back for an encore! What was he thinking?

I walked out of a magic show on triumph.. What a waste of time..

If I don't like the show, I usually leave because the casino is always calling my name....

Hubby and I also walked out on Kenny Miller but for once we got there late and had to sit in the balcony. Part of his routine was to ask where someone was going and if they were coming back, at the time I thought it was part of the routine but now I wonder if people really were walking out. The magician, Mark Miller (any relation) was funnier with his patter than Kenny. A lot of Kenny's routine was singing, jokes about Arkansas and the stuff about where are you going maam. Was that the same when ya'll saw it?

but seriously...
when you get up, no one really knows why, you could just be using the little girls/boys room.
I like sitting up front on the edge for easy access in/out, but I'm sorry, If I don't like a show for what ever reason, I'm leaving.... I mean, it's not like I'm going to make a bunch of rude noises on the way out... I don't really enjoy bringing unwanted attention to myself....

My first cruise, I'm hoping to enjoy every show I attend, and leaving won't be an issue.

The song and dance is generally so good I would never walk out. As a matter of fact, the feathers and sizzle shows are so darn good on Carnival that I will at times double dip seeing both the 8 and 10 PM shows.
Sometimes the comedy shows are worth a walkout, especially when they start dropping F-bombs. Other times the comedian would have an amusing family hour show and will invite us back at midnight where the "unedited"comedy is simply lame. In any case, out of respect, I will sit the back and depart discretely. 8)

I've actually only walked out on one Carnival show and I was, thankfully, all the way at the back of the 2nd level. Ticket To Ride, which had been so widely touted as fabulous was just horrid.

I am usually the person on the 2nd or 3rd row loving every minute of a show. AND, did you know they bring you those wonderful drinks? Shows get better and better with those.

Thats what I do, if the show is the same one I have seen many times already, I just quietly exit the theater and head for the casino

I love the shows, they are my favorite part so Iv never seen one I didnt like.

I did walk out just before when I lost my ring off my finger that used to be my aunts and was upset, but that was once and I was very upset, not because I didnt like the show.

I used to be a music major and played semi pro for musicals...so Im a sap for all that musical stuff they do. Maybe Im the only overly enthusiatic person here? We started to go early on the last cruise so we could sit in the front row. I wanted to watch a piano player's hands when he played. the night after the piano player on Rhapsody .... from the Monkies

I guess I have to admit to just loving the musical stuff. I got picked by the piano guy to "help" with his show and got his CD and love it and so did my parents when I got home. Dont remember him from Johnny Carson, but loved his music. I dont care as much for the comedians, so will sometimes just not go.[/img]
